The function code for format is decimal 115 which is = to 73 hex.
The manufacturers usually provide function data in the form of binary or hex data but they rarely provide much else.
Direct TV uses a Russound IR protocol, Device 12. The function number for format is 115 and I already have a list of cleanly generated codes... in part due to guidance from johnsfine and his makehex application.
