I have gotten my Verizon FIOS remote to contol almost everything but my $400 Samsung TR520. I got a Philips/Magnavox PM625S learning remote, but it won't control the TR520, either. Nor will it control my Verizon HD DVR. Now, few universal remotes control things like VCR slow motion, but they all promose to operate DVDs. And, I think that the Verizon universal remote is the nicer of the two, with it's DVR buttons, and I'd like it to control my DVD as well. AP
