Bose Cinemate Universal Remote Control

Working Code: 20741

Usually the setup code numbers vary randomly by brand of universal remote, rather than something simple like tacking on a 2 in front as you suggested. So at first glance I suspected what you said wouldn't be useful to most other users of the same DVD-R.

I checked setup code DVD/0741 that is in several models of remote made by UEI (mainly OneForAll brand).

I then found several DVD models that are basically the same code set as DVD/0741. Those are:
Zenith DVD2381
Goldstar DVD-2380P
LG DVD-4950
LG DVD-4351N
LG DVD-4320N
LG DVD-7834
LG DVD-3200E

So that certainly fits the claim that it would be a setup code in most universal remotes listed as LG.

The likely reason for Bose Cinemate Universal Remote Control setup code numbering being related to UEI setup code numbering is that UEI designed the remote for Bose (I don't specically know who designed the remote for Bose; I'm just basing that on the related setup code numbering).

If a universal remote was designed by some other company, the 0741 info would be no help. That may be why your source said LG.

Even with remotes designed by UEI, most don't include setup code DVD/0741. Far more of them include DVD/0591. That has the same basic signal set as DVD/0741 and as those DVD models I listed above. I assume a few of the commands vary by model and a few vary between DVD/0591, DVD/0741, (and I think DVD/0869 is also the same basic signal set). I did a quick automated check for all this, so I have no guess which/whether any of those three setup codes is the best fit for any of those models.
