I think there is still a windows registry setting to fix that symptom. It should be fairly easy to find with a Google or forum search. Some keywords you might want to use in that search are: Registry Debounce MCE
Alternately, you might do a registry search for debounce.
The underlying problem is that there are two different IR codes for each MCE function. If a remote sends the same MCE function twice in a row, it is supposed to switch between the two codes so it never sends the same code twice in a row.
It is quite hard to get a Pronto to do the right thing for those alternating codes.
The registry setting instead makes the Windows system not care if the remote fails to alternate.
