To get the workaround to work when recording, add a Live command to the macros.

On : Menu, Power, Power, Live

Off: Menu, Power, Live

I also add a volume commands to the On macro in case Mute happens to be on. Just an extra precaution, but not necessary.

On: Menu, Power, Power, Live, Vol+,Vol-

I find these macros work reliably and have not had any problem with these boxes in months using these commands.

I have 2 boxes and do keep 1 on all the time, since it is not visible. The other is visible and I do not want to see the display (channel or time) when it is not in use. So I use these macros. Would gladly leave it on if I could turn off the display.
