the old... menu>power>power=On and menu>power=Off does not work in your market? Do you have to enter the power before info for On?

This usually works in most markets because menu with the power off brings up the motorola basic setup menu and not the provider's software menu. I suppose, though, that the firmware could still be different in this regard.
