sorry for the cross posting, but I think this is probabally a rare case... thought the custom install community would like to hear about it anyways.

The display operates 100% with the manufacturers remote... ZERO problems.

Controlling with a Pronto is a different story. I have yet to try the same discrete power codes with an AMX/Crestron/Intellicontrol/other --- that's probabally more effort than my company is willing to pay for! ;)

The display seems to exhibit problems when we try to control power with a Pronto --- using the Panasonic HDTV discrete Power On command found here.
About 50% of the time everything works as it should... the other 50% of the time:

Display powers up
Before it can display an image it shuts down to standby again.

Once this problem occurs, it seems that neither the Pronto or the original remote control can get the display to break from this loop --- powers up, then automatically goes into standby seconds later.

The only way to correct/reset the problem is to manually remove power from the display via the switch at the front panel (or unplug it from the wall). After doing that, the original remote works fine... display performs flawlessly. When the Pronto issues the discrete Power On command the display again gets locked into the 'auto power down after power up' cycle.

This has been tested on more than 1 of the exact same model Panasonic displays.... both exhibit the same symptoms.

Issuing the discrete Power Off command does not seem to put the display into the "confused state." -- only the discrete Power On command causes the problem.

Anybody out there experience similiar problems?

I'm eager to hear what you have to say if you have had similiar experiences --- please feel free drop me an email at [email protected]

Thanks,
Matt Webb
