Well looks like I jumped the gun with my response. I'm having the same type of problem with the echostar and after a phone call to AudioPlex it was confirmed. Their tech support was prompt and helpful. I also learned that yes there are problems with digital cable period. He didn't mention a specific brand. The solution with Plasma Proof, accordong to Audio Plex is to us a target that is designed specifically for these high freq. i.r. They are not able to build a plasma proof i.r. that'll do both.
I'm just glad they are aware of this and have a solution.
