Sorry, I can't help with the other brands. But John do you know about the
feature on Jvc's vcr called REC-LINK.
All you do is program the satellite,
to turn itself on,and choose its own
channel.Now you turn the sat off,and
leave it. Put a tape in the vcr, press
REC-LINK button, the vcr goes out. Now
the next time a signal hits the back
inputs,it starts recording. When the
sat turns itself off, the vcr goes off.
It doesn't matter if the vcr was on a
channel, L-1,or f-1. Its what brought
me back to jvc vcrs. The feature disappeared for awhile. As long as
theres room on the tape, you can have
multiple events programmed. I haven't
used it since I got my PVRs.
