Actually, the problem lies with the VCR "forgetting" what input it's supposed to be on after a power failure. It always reverts to "F-1", which is the front inputs. I'm using the rear inputs for recording.

If I issue a "0" followed by the "enter" command, it takes me to the inputs. But it always ends up on the last selected input, not a problem unless you lose power. Then it reverts to "F-1" first.

If a "Channel down" command is issued after the above macro, the first time it is issued, it will take you to "R-1". But if the VCR was on "R-1" and you issue the macro, it ends up on the next lower channel and will steadily channel down everytime the macro is issued, unless you have a power outage. So I don't have a true anchor command.

I'm hoping someone can shed some light here.

Thanks again,

JJP
