John, an earlier version of the Audioplex Plasma Proof IR receiver would not pass IR for a Marantz SR8000 and a SR7200. I used a Xantech Dinkylink in parallel with a StealthX4056. The problem with the Audioplex was solved with a revision that you can verify by looking for a tiny 47 on the lable on the small black box included with the unit. I was informed by our Audioplex rep that it is nessesary to use the Audioplex power supply because the Xantech supply is too tightly regulated. My guess is that the Audioplex piece occasionally draws more current than the Xantech supply is designed to deliver
