Whoops, blank post! Thanks for your reply. The quick answer is yes I am looking for an alternative to the RTI. I am wondering if there is a cheaper, simpler, more reliable solution. The facts: components in same room, single room setup, solid door on cabinet as part of shelf system. I have read a little more since the original post and now see the possibility of a xantech IR extender package. The IR receiver (?) might sit unobserved on a upper bookshelf. RTI T2 are supposed to be good but I have read they may also have quality control problems. Any advice from someone who has been here is very appreciated. Thanks.
