Buy it from who? Xantech probably would not sell direct, and certainly would not take it back. Buy it from a dealer, use it, then return it? That would be an unfair, unethical use of a dealer's resources. Last I looked at the forum we're in it was the Custom Installation forum, populated by dealers and their staffers, people who make their livings on this stuff. I submit that there are three ways to get these codes; find them in fair use territory, pay for them by buying and keeping the remote, or do without.

Sorry to be so blunt, but this kind of nonsense is why I left retail....
