I currently install VIA panels, and have designed a number of user interfaces. Once you get them in and working the way you want them to, they're solid. I've never had one crash, glitch up or step out of order since the overlay problems from last year were eliminated. It's a bit pricey for an average Joe, but considering it's features, I think it's a great value. I think you have to ask yourself if you really need all the features it presents; if not, then you can go with a keypad/companion system that will save you some bucks.
