Audiosource showed a new amp at CEDIA called the amp 100. It will have a a suggested retail of about $200. Initial delivery is scheduled for January; don't sue me if its later then that. Featuring 50 watts per channel, it will have seperate gain pots for each channel. It will be just under 17" wide. Cost will be refreshing. Russound offers a fabulous device, simaler in concept to the Sonance ASAP and the Niles TVA20, called the DPA1.2. This rollover mechanism is designed to work with video situations like you describe, but with a difference. Wired with house music speaker wiring through it, the amp does not activate until the tv set turns on; then, the variable audio out on the tv controls the gain through the amp. It triggers off signal or video or voltage.
