With the center channel being the most used and demanded speaker, seems it would be adequate for mains and certainly surrounds.
I understand that mains are probably "better" because of stereo. But if you think about it, why is it you can use a center as a main but not a main as a center.
Yes it's been done but I don't think it supposed to be. I never have.
Anyway it's this reasoning that leads me to believe using a center channel on all 7 channels would have to be acceptable.
By the way, Looking at using PSB stratus gold for this room.
And yes, I'll put 2 subs in, 10 & 12. I don't like 15's.
