Okay, maybe you guys have not had this problem, but I bought an Xanatech IR repeater recently. HEre are the issues I uncoverd. The outputs from the Xanatech IR are Mono, the 5mm plug into it is STEREO.. This means there is a ground wire, which can be very dangerous. The screw terminals are used for mono connections (gnd,shield). They dont tell you that. You have to use XANATECH IR blaster into the 5mm input plug. If you dont you could most definitely start a fire because you are grounding out the power supply by connecting a mono input.
