I actualy did the same thing with my elan system. Only I was not smart enough to check with Elan and Xantech first. I used a mono mini and blew the all out on my 630. Very important to connect to the Sig & Grnd only. What Elan told me was they thought that I backfed the 12V back to the Elan. Bad news is I am not a dealer and although I can live without 1 all out port, I am scared to find out what the thing will cost to fix. I dont even know who to ask.

You really have to be carefull pluging the mono mini plung into equipment when your not sure or the configurations.
