I saw one a few months ago during Mitusbishi training, It looked sweet!!

The up side is that since the HD tuner is in the TV, the VCR itself is just a storage medium (meaning that it doesnt have to have it's own HD tuner built in) that will help keep the price down. (if you consider $1000 affordable) and yes you can record local HD to it. (it's also a nice fully functional S-VHS unit all in one)

The rep showed us Toy Story 2 from VHS, Prog. scan DVD and D-VHS all at the same time, it was truly breath takeing, and the other 2 are really no comparison.

The downside is yes it's still tape. nuff said.
