I have read and followed the directions in the FAQ section and I'm still receiving a "COM 1: Opened but no response from RC device." I have checked that the port is functional using another remote program for Elan Via. It checks out OK. The problem still remains that the Pronto will not respond. Has anyone had this problem? I am using an HP laptop Model ze1110 with a Belkin F5U409 USB to Serial adapter as the COM1 port. I really appreciate any info you can give. Thanks for your help and time.
