Don't count on it unless you have seen it.

The JVC DILA can be fully controlled by RS232, as can the old Vidikron projectors.

The Vidikron manual has one page with every RS232 code, written out just as you need to type it between an initial string and a carriage return.

A couple of years ago, after hassling JVC technical and my rep for almost three months, I was able to extract the RS232 info for the DILAs from them. It was a document of more than sixty pages that described in great detail how they constructed their RS232 codes, but it never gave any actual codes. You would have to read the thing, see if you understood it by trying it out, experiment...and nothing I could write to them or ask them about could get them to just send me a list of the damn codes.
