There are a couple of things it could be. Elan has four solutions listed for the typface issue. These should clear up font related issues where only the text is smeared. If you are talking about the bitmaps themselves being smeared, that is different. Elan does not endorse custom graphics on the Via! touchpanels yet even though it has been possible for some time. If your problem is custom graphic related, then Elan most likely wont offer any support. If you are an Elan dealer, the article is on the dealer site under Via! tech bulletins.
