Just gonna toss this out there.
How about some add-on panels, similar to the method that is being used on the Atlantic Tech 6200/8200 series?
I'd think that any GOOD custom cabinet company could fabricate these for you to add to the existing NHT's.
And then your fronts and rears would still be a sonic matched set.
