You have to forward your extension to voicemail :
1. lift handset (or press speakerphone)
2. press FWD/DND
3. press 1 for forwarding all calls, or 2 for forwarding busy/no answer
4. press #
5. hang up
to cancel forwarding:
1. lift handset
2. press FWD/DND
3. press 0
4. press #
5 hang up
this should do the trick
