Talk about a can of worms just waiting to be opened!

Legally speaking, everything one knows is out the window when we leave the country we are used to.

And yet, I accepted an offer for an all expense paid trip to stay in a large villa, on the beach, 100 clicks south of Cancun (Riviera Maya,) where I reviewed plans for an 84 room luxury complex on a neighboring property, and made suggestions on several low voltage systems.

Although we (my accompanying party and myself) could never make a plan that would include our people doing the labor due to the disparity in rates between the US and Mexico, we would, in my way of thinking, be benificial in a design, consulting and training capacity.

We have been asked to look at video, audio, telephone, ethernet, wi-fi, security and servailence. There is qualified Crestron support near by, so no programming, or responsibility for programming.

My thinking is:
1 design the system(s)
2. travel to the site to train the installing electrician. (thats where the skilled labor would likely come from)
3. travel to the site to visually verify that the needed wiring was in fact installed and then test it.
4. travel to the site to supervise the installation of the equipment, calibrate, troubleshoot, etc...
5. a "hand off" meeting with the Crestron dude.

Fire the guns at me amigos! I'm sure there's a millon things I'm not considering.
