Just a note, if you order the repair manual for the 5040 or the pro1000 you get a 503 manuel with a cover folder (just a few pages) for the changes for each of the above mentioned models, but nothing about any changes to the ir sequences.

I'm guessing there isn't much difference between the Aussi model and any of the others. What "exactly" did Pioneer tell you to do regarding the "0" smirnof? That may be the only answer. There doesn't seem to be anything about this in any of the service manuals I've checked.
