Just wondering if anyone else has any ideas as to how to deal with the slow bulb strike time from DLP projectors in situations where you are automating a screen blinds and lighing to create a theatre scene.
The screen trigger deploys the screen almost immediately on startup, and then the other elements follow (lights blinds, inputs, etc.) All of a sudden, you are sitting in the dark with everything ready to go waiting for the lamp to come to full potential. I know this isn't a problem with HD CRT projo's, but as DLP becomes more popular (I really like the higher end HD models), This lag time becomes an issue.
I am going to create a circuit that feeds a timer for the screen activation and then a delay in the macro to start the sequence. While that is happening, a CD player with ovieish music will play just before the trigger delay times out and the sequence starts. This will only work if a nRF remote control system is installed . I just wonder if there isn't a better solution
