Se if you can get a motorloa HD DVR box. They allow the composite and SVHS to still be active while outputting an HD signal through Component or DVI. I would tell Cox cable that you want to be able to still record on your VDR and you cannot because of the situation. I cannot believe that they would have those outputs blocked.
