The technical answer is... the set has a native 720 resolution. The way the set displays a 1080i image is by using software algorithims to fill in the blanks and diplay an image greater than the native resolution. Some sets will do this better than others, it is a software, algorithim, processing function. Runco does this extremely well. I am not familiar with your set. If it looks poor in 1080i, then your set does a poor job doing it, and it's best to leave the set in 720p (requiring no black magic to make things appear 1080i).
