The only other option that I know of is the cable clamp, which can be an added expense over time. (http://www.cableclamp.com/) I personally use the reuasable cable ties and haven't had a problem. I'm sure that over time they would become worn, but it is still better than cutting and replacing the old zip ties. Hope this helps!!
