i can't find many details about the dvd player, so i'm assuming it's a basic standard definition one.
If you're not worried about quality, the simplest way would be to use a SCART connection (the long one with lots of pins, 21 if you want to count), otherwise use composite video with stereo audio, which would use three normal RCA jacks (yellow for video, red and white for audio).
since you mentioned s-video, you can use that for the video, and then the red and white for the audio.
one thing to note is that you're not really in the right place...this forum is mainly for custom installers and professionals. for simple tech help you should try an electrical store or phoning up toshiba themselves.
