Personally I like the programs at

The movie collector program is really good, you just type in the movie name, and it links to the Internet Movie Database to get things like running time, movie credits, etc. This is more for general movie collecting as it's good for cataloging both DVD's and VHS, the only flaw I find is that it can't pull in the movie release year automatically, you have to type this in yourself.

They also have a similar program for CD's and MP3's.
