If you go anywhere, including a vacation, a 15 pass lets you take out the back seat or two and put tons of stuff in. Others can sit comfortably for longer periods since it's two to a seat instead of 3 or 4.
I thought it was too big as well, but a 12 pass would cramp our style now.
Yes, I know of the hazards, but station wagons are out!
