The next version of MS Office will also save to
pdf. I was not aware of CutePDF.
sms, personally I love pdf. It allows me to E-mail
something in a universal format with the added
benefit that it cannot be modified (assuming you
don't want to send it in a modifiable format).
Customer/architect etc. doesn't have AutoCAD,
Visio, Excel etc.? No problem, just send it to
them in a pdf file.
That's EXACTLY why I send in the PDF format. I'm not sure why I chose to throw in the 'yuck' in this forum but I do have my reservations about the PDF format. I guess my fingers got the best of me
.
Office will still contain about 400,000 lines of code that will do nothing but bring an advanced user to a screeching halt, still save YOUR files in a proprietary format, and still cost between 330 and 500 US dollars retail.
Apologies in advance for the preach and yes, I know that the D-Tools folks out there are married to the MS products by association but there are other ways to conduct our business end of things without the cartopoly.
Did I just make up a word?
