I don't know if I would be willing to accept a tradeout on this job... But other than that, most funeral homes spend money on distributed audio systems. I had the unfortunate experience to bury a close childhood friend who passed at 40, and the family compiled some favorite songs from Led Zep, Aerosmith, Rush, etc. which were played at a low level for the visitations. I have to imagine that this was a multi-zone system, because I cannot imagine the older parties in the other rooms were also into these bands.
I had an opportunity to buy out a retiring 30 year veteran commercial sound guy about 10-11 yrs. ago (when I was a young whipper-snapper) and he showed me his list of clientele which included many of the mom & pop funeral homes in the outlying areas of N. Illinois...
Maybe it's a niche market that the savvy integrator can wrestle away from the pro sound guys??
