We just finished installing an Epson 550 using a Peerless projector mount. Normally I would use a Sanus VMPR1S, but the H/O went with a 10 ft pour for the basement and the projector was at such a bad angle the keystoning was terrible and could not be adjusted out. We had used the Peerless JF2UNVS Spider mount before so I went back to it. We had to get an extension piece from Peerless and paint it silver (to match the mount). Everything went up fine, except now the wife wants some kind of cover so she doesn't see the pole coming down from the ceiling. The issue is that I could not paint it to match the aluminuim that the mount was made of and the bolt show on the plate that mounts to the ceiling.

So my question is have any of you used this mount and have you had similiar issues? What have you done to fix the problem.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
