I know I was eyeing the Future Shop boxing day HD-DVD sale up here in Canada... HD-D3 for $100 (we still have horrible electronics pricing up here so that was a good deal). So guess how many they had at that price for their online site? 400. For the whole country.
Right now the cheapest HD-DVD player you can get at Best Buy Canada is $350 (HD-A3), or $400 for a PS3, or $450 for a standalone BD player (BDP-S300 or BD-P1400).
