Bite the bullet. Spend an hour on hold for tech service at dlink. They will fix your problem but you will never understand how. I just went though a similar problem. After trying many fixes they had me set the 2nd router's address to 4.4.4.2. Go figure. Forced me to go back to school for some router classes. I am hoping to be able to apply logic to these types of problems but I think they will forever remain black magic.
