The reason I asked if that DirecTV broadcasts CBS in HD,
I think it's in New York. If you call them up and claim
you cannot receive CBS at all, sometimes you can get them
to give you the NY HD feed. And if the first customer
rep says no you hang up and call back until you find one
that says yes.
That same process worked for me. It took about 40 minutes on the phone, but I was lounging about with a glass of single malt (no splash of water, Fred, neat is neat at Chez Wheeler) and just watched tv while waiting on hold.
We get CBS off air HD out in the hinterlands where I'm at, but I've got the biggest antenna Winegard makes on top of my two story house, and I'm on one of the highest points in Cook County.
