Russound has gone and done it. They're coming out with
a Viiv Media Center PC. It's the first media-server maker
out of the big 4 (escient, request, elan) to go to the
dark side. The products, called Smart Media Consoles,
will ship with versions of Lifeware software sometime
this spring.
And they're taking the high road with this item, unlike the Rnet products. ALL dealers will be required to complete a training course AND pass a test in order to be on the "authorized dealer" list.
I imagine there will also be a "buy in" required.
Sounds like a good plan to me.
