As has been suggested on this thread already, go talk to a proper copyright attorney that deals with software rights.
I would hope, at least, that you have a responsibility to your readers to provide educated, properly informed, responsible and accurate information about subjects like this.... if you so choose to be involved..... and not just throw your opinion around as if were fact.
