I just got my C7, and I love it! I had about decided I needed a Pronto (reluctantly), but this little gem seems to do it all.

I was surprised to discover that by using advanced codes I was able to access features I didn't know I had on my equipment! For example, my Sony VCR remote doesn't have a "replay" button, but you can assign this to a button on the C7 and get "free" functions!

I have a couple of questions and observations...

1) When re-assigning functions to buttons, does it use up memory - can you hit the wall?

2) I noticed a small circuit access port inside the battery compartment. Is this for reprogramming by the factory, or can it be used to create a serial link to a PC (like their old remotes)?

3) I have an older (non-learning) C7 and noticed that most of the tricks on this board apply to it as well. So if you don't need the learning function, you can pick one (or two) of these up for about $17 at Wal-Mart...
