Try using AUX2 for the heck of it. Both AUXs should be for receivers, but I've heard one person claim AUX1 on the 15-1994 was a VCR by default. When I programmed mine, I did a MAGIC-9-9-2-VCR-AUX1 before even attempting to program it with my DVD player's device code. So I have no idea if it's true or not.

Try the following device codes:
0356, 0027, 0077, 0313, 0186, 0314

Is this a brand new RS 15-1994 remote? Try reseting the device by doing MAGIC-9-9-2-AUX1-AUX1 and then try setting the device code.
