Thanks Brian and Zhe! I thought I wasn't going to get any responses.

Brian, so you get 8 modes per device (TV/CD/RCVR/DVD/CD/etc.). Do you get 8 by using L1-L4 and a shift L1-L4 (and does "shift" mean the magic or star key)?

Am I right that the L1-L4 keys are different according to the selected device?

Are macro and macro2 the only keys whose function is not dependent on the device selected? (I have power on/off for all programmed into macro.)

Zhe, I like the idea of DSP mode up/down. Didn't know the receiver supported it. I'll give it a try.
