I can understand your problem. I also have Onkyo equipment. If you look at my post last week, you will see that Universal gave me two new codes. Unfortunately, these did not work for me either. Neither was I able to learn any functions from my Onkyo DVD player remote. Universal said that if you send them your 8800, they will upgrade it for you. I decided to return my third 7800 and ask Onkyo for one of their own universal remotes free of charge for all of the aggrivation that I have been through. Still waiting for a respose.
