Due to the design of my TV volume controls (a Mitsubishi), when using the TV I am forced to turn my receiver volume up quite loud (a Denon AVR-3300) and then adjust the TV volume playing through the receiver using the TV's volume settings.

This seems to work OK, except that every time I turn on the TV, I have to adjust the receiver's volume to the correct level. I would like to create a macro for my Radio Shack 15-1994 remote to automatically adjust the volume on the receiver to a specific volume. Is this possible, or do you have any other suggestions to solve the problem?
