I would have to have your OEM remote in my hands to run tests on it to answer your question, but I can confirm that the 15-1994 will learn short bursts. After all, the reason that I ws able to create a new protocol for the Boston Accoustic is because Dave learned the short burst commands and emailed me his memory dump.
