My 1994 remote does not seem to have the codes for my Panasonic TV. The TV is 10 years old and was purchased overseas. Since the codes are not in the remote, shouldn't I be able to learn some functions from the TV remote to the 1994? I have tried to teach the remote but it doesn't seem to want to learn. All I get is one long blink. The lady at RS customer service said that since the TV isn't in the database, the remote would not learn any functions. Duh, what is she talking about? Thanks
