My ph1 is not working either. Could this be the
reason? I looked in the rdf file for the 2116
and saw this:
ph1=41,ph2,ph3,ph4=45,ph5,ph6=58,ph7,ph8,ph9
why the equal signs with a two digit number to
the right?
When there is no suffix to the button name, IR assumes it uses the next sequential keycode following on from the preceeding button, but when there is a suffix with either a decimal number (as above) or a hex code (like this button_name=$0F) it will use that instead.
So in this case, we have established that Phantom1 uses keycode 41, so phantoms2 and 3 will default to keycodes 42 and 43. We're skipping keycode 44 for some reason (probably a real button) and then picking up with phaontom4 which uses keycode 45. the rest of the phantoms follow on from there.
On a related note, can I rename in the rdf file
ph2 and ph2 to discrete on and discrete off?
I have a helluva of a time remembering if I assinged
ph2 or 3 to discrete on/off. I remember for the
1994 it had discrete on and off available as keys.
Remember, phantoms don't really exist, they are just keycodes that have not been used for any other purpose. So, you can call them whatever you like.
