Interesting again Vol+/- in RC5 devices is usually 16 and 17 decimal (but again if he thought they were hex then hex 16 and 17 would be 22 and 23 decimal).

The mute doesn't fit in since it is normally decimal 13. Having said all that, many manufacturers use the RC5 protocol but have their own command set.

You might see if there is any setup code for your remote for a Harmon Kardon, Marantz, Philips or Magnavox receiver and try that.

As far as the three pin or hole remotes, I don't know that anyone has gotten them to work with the JP1 tools. So I don't see this as a useful option

For a few commands you should just learn them. I assume that it probably doesn't support learning, so it may be less hassle to get a new learning remote.

Finally have you contacted OFA/UEIC to see if you can send it in for an upgrade?
